Toby Lineaweaver, MA, LMHC

Program Director

Toby Lineaweaver, Program Director, a graduate of the University of California Santa Cruz and Lesley College, is founding staff at Recovering Champions. Toby began his clinical career in 1991 as a community outpatient therapist where he worked with the court-referred, adolescents, and substance use disorders. Toby later embarked on a lengthy association with the Penikese Island School, an acclaimed residential treatment program for troubled teenage boys that has been featured in numerous print and video media, including “60 minutes II.” While at Penikese Toby picked up a few things along the way including program logistics and operations, crisis prevention and management, trauma-informed clinical training and supervision, and agency licensing and accreditation. At RCI Toby has the opportunity to use his combined leadership and clinical experience to integrate best treatment and operational practices across departments, describing the Program Director’s role as “the transmission that keeps the agency’s gears meshed and working smoothly.” Toby also enjoys helping promote Recovering Champion’s up-and-comers to be the next generation of skilled clinical and organizational leadership.

Lydia Patterson, MA, LMHC

Clinical Supervisor

Lydia Patterson, Clinical Supervisor, brings an elite skill set to her position. Lydia earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Assumption College in Worcester, graduating with distinction and specialization in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Lydia has worked with a number of populations throughout the mental health and substance abuse treatment field, experiences that have provided her with extensive knowledge in treating developmental trauma and co-occurring disorders, and allowing her to train others in the best practices of trauma informed care. Lydia’s previous training with the Justice Resource Institute stoked her passion for working with children and families, and as a counselor at Gosnold Treatment Centers she built a granite foundation in the field of substance use, working with clients and families throughout the continuum of care and need. Lydia is committed to treating the whole family rather than just the identified patient, and to helping them better understand the disease of addiction and developing practical solutions that lead to forgiveness, reconnection, rebuilt trust, and ongoing recovery.

Jennifer Rego

Program Coordinator

Jennifer Rego is the Program Coordinator at Recovering Champions and has been with the company since 2016. Jennifer began her career working in detox and from there went on to hold different positions in settings ranging from residential to day treatment, including partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care. Soon after starting at RCI Jennifer began moving quickly up the ladder, first as Case Management Supervisor and then to her current position of Program Coordinator. Jennifer currently oversees the case management and day program residential teams, ensures smooth day-to-day operations and activities, and helps the set the positive, goal-directed and hard-working expectations and tone for the treatment community. Continuing her rapid career growth, Jennifer recently obtained her L.A.D.C. II and now serves as an integral part of the RCI Leadership team. Jennifer values compassion for all patients, but also excels at giving them the same honest feedback needed to stay on track that she has received in her own long-term recovery. Among the many gifts of recovery she has received, Jennifer is most grateful for her rewarding career, loving marriage, and the opportunity to be a role model to her daughter.
