Karen Vernon-Thompson, LICSW, CADC-II, LADC-I

A longtime program manager at rehab facilities in Plymouth and New Bedford, Karen has more than 25 years of supervisory experience managing detox, CSS, and transitional support services at local inpatient treatment facilities. Her background includes field work as a longtime outpatient clinician, working with children, adolescents, and adults to resolve anger management, substance abuse, and other addiction-related problems. An advocate of — and a participant in — the 12-step program, Karen has a special insight that informs her clinical practice. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Lesley College and a Master’s degree from Boston College, and she is an LICSW and an LADCI, as well as a certified alcohol and drug counselor (CADC-II). In her spare time, she loves to go to the beach and spend time with her granddaughter.
